This one's about hair

So I've been letting my hair grow out for a couple of years now and I have officially entered the "Sick of my hair" phase. I dyed it a little darker a few weeks ago in the hopes of staving off this feeling. The fact of the matter is that I want a big change is the hair department.
As it is its this length

(I apologize for the Bi*sh plz look- It took like 10 tries to get all of the hair in the photo. Self-portrait fail)
Problem is though, I never wear it down. And if I do I will have thrown it up again within minutes. Like so:

I have caved in to my hairtiredness and made an appointment for Monday. But I am undecided about what look to go for. I sort of like the long bobs I've been seeing, but feel like taking it shorter.
Pixiecuts are out of the question though... A) My face shape cannot carry that look and B) my husband considers hair that short to be one step away from getting really fat and wearing tracksuits all day.

So I'm thinking of above the shoulders below the ears will be a happy place to go. The question is only what style to go for.
I'm leaning towards something like this

In fact I think I've sported a similar look before.... letsseee
Sisters.... aren´t we cute
Or maybe a little longer like this maybe

Decisions, decisions, decisions....

I remember that you had that look before..but I liked that look. I would keep the toned down blonde, I think that's a nice change. And i wouldn't go too much like a bob or so...that seems too short...I do really like the first style you show.

I'm going to stick with the color I'm sporting- in fact once I get the new cut (whatever that may be) I'm going to dye it again (with the same color) for a little more depth. The over-processed blonde has gotten old.
I like the first style too... maybe I'll just bring that photo with me to the salon.
Misty- I'll make sure to update this post with an after photo of the hair!
